I looked at the box for that, but wasn't too impressed. I'll have to give it another chance.

Do you actually type by waving the controller around?
That would be . . . different.
*has weird images of browsing on a Wii*

Some thoughts on Call of Duty 3. CoD feels much more like a PC game with the remote functionally being a full time mouse and the nunchuck being the keyboard. Mind you that analogy is a little flawed, but I felt like I was playing a FPS on my PC. I imagine that is because I'm used to that paradigm, I think that playing a FPS on the Wii would be more intuitive to someone who has never played one on either a console or PC.
I played some Zelda yesterday, and it was an interesting contrast to CoD. Where as CoD felt like playing a PC game, Zelda had a much more "console" feel to it. Part of it was the camera control which made navigating around the screens a challenge, and makes it hard to quickly orient yourself towards a threat. I do agree that the use of the controllers didn't feel as integrated as on CoD, more of an afterthought given that the thumbpad was the primary method of orientating your character instead of using the remote in a mouse-like fashion. Of course there is an option to do so by pressing the a button, but it's more of a camera-look function instead of a free look. It's likely a design choice since Zelda is designed around a 3rd person perspective, and CoD a 1st person one which lends itself to freelook better. As far as the game goes, it's is very enjoyable. The swordfighting is stylized but fun, the "sniper" view for bow or slingshot is also very cool. The storyline is both simplistic and engrossing at the same time. It feels like a fairy tale at times, and seems aimed at a younger audience, but never so far that it turns adult players off.
I'd recommend both games to anyone who gets a Wii. I've ordered another controller setup from Amazon, apparently it's harder to find extra controllers than it is to find the console, and added Rampage to my order. I'll let ya'll know how I like that. I'd like to pick up a Legends of Zelda disc for the Gamecube, I never got a chance to play the original games, but two problems crop up. First, I would have to pick up more controllers for that purpose, you have to use Gamecube controllers on Gamecube games apparently, and secondly I found out that the game was only released bundled with the console or as a mail order special item.
