You know the ole dragon LOVEs comic book movies done right. Here are the prospects for 2009 on comic movies:

Captain America - Unassuming Army officer Steve Rogers volunteers for a top secret research project that turns him into Captain America, a superhero dedicated to defending America's ideals.

The Avengers

Magneto - A look at the early life of Eric Lensherr and his friendship with Charles Xavier, and how the one-time allies became mortal enemies.

Spiderman 4

Superman: The Man of Steel

Thor - Partially disabled medical student Dr. Donald Blake discovers his heretofore unknown alter ego, the Norse warrior, Thor.

Wonder Woman - The Amazonian princess-warrior Diana left her lush tropical island to dwell in our urban cityscapes of glass and steel. Tutored in the ways of the Greek warriors, and outfitted with incredible gifts the Goddess bestowed upon her people, she becomes Paradise Island's emissary to civilization.

Looks like a good line up for 09 there.

Have to say im very suprised at seeing Spiderman 4 in the list. Did not think they were going to continue on after the trilogy.

I am wondering about a 4h X-Men though, either way good line up!

Is the Watchmen movie coming out in '09? Everything else above can wait; give me my Watchmen!
By the way, Alan Moore's coveted story is being directed by Zack Snyder who did 300. Prepare for the greatest movie ever made, gentleman.

Magneto could be a good one, there is a possibility to make a great story there. Other than that, I don't know... I have to say, that I haven't been very delighted about Spiderman movies. "Mainstream Raimi" doesn't use clever camerawork anymore, which makes me sad.
Hopefully they make a continuation to Wolverine story and I'm REALLY waiting for new Batman! Batman Begins was almost perfect, only action sequences (fights) were bad (too quick cuts, too close and because of that, you could hardly see what was happening)...

Just finished rereading Watchmen last night and have realized that this movie's going to take just as much, if not more, care than Sin City to pull it off. Anyone think Snyder can do it?

Thats good news, now if they can pull back up to the standard of 1 and 2, maybe do a remake of 3 to bring that up to standard while they're at it i'll be even happier!
