I downloaded shoot in the hope of controlling the Pit Stop menu in my simracing games. I am still convinced that Shoot would be a valuable tool that will allowme to saveconsiderable time in the pits when I race enduros and allow me to set up the pit stop while I am still racing without crashing (as I did yesterday).
However, I am having a hell of a time making it work on my Windows 7 64bit machine.
When I first downloaded it, all seemed well. Until I tried loading a profile (for IL2, which I also have) and I got a pretty nasty message (screenshot below)
So I read the forum and found that Shoot works with DotNet 1 but that it can be made to work with 2. So i downloaded the config file, substituted it and tried to launch Shoot.
Now the message simply says "you need to download Dot Net 1.xxx". I didn't think this was the intention (it claimed to make it compatible with Dot net 2) so I left it at that and I am posting this now.
I simply need to load this program and have it read a profile. Once I can do that, it seems pretty easy to make it work.
Can anyone help?
Thank you.
PS: I am pretty sure I have all the Dot Nets I need already. Most of the Sims I play need them too.

If I knew anything about Shoot, I would gladly help, but I don't. I don't know who our local Shoot expert is, either. It's possible the person(s) you want to be asking haven't even checked the forums, lately.
Anyway, this is my non-response, just so you know you're not being totally ignored.

Considering the author is long gone and moved onto greater things, support is done by the community, please understand this and know we will help how we can.
I remember something about this when Windows Vista was released. I will need a day or two due to my limited time, but I will find what I can and post back here shortly to try and assist.
After that, we need to get a user guide together and iron out all obstacles. Lord help us when Windows 8 becomes mainstream, heh.
I will also try and track down the original programmer and see if he can help us get newer code.
