I am considering changing my online nickname for various reasons. Most prominent, is my desire to start fresh, and rebuild my life from the ground up. Of course this new name would be dragon related, and I have had a few thoughts.............I thought I would ask you folks whatcha think of me changing my nickname, and your vote on which one I should choose.
Help me out?

When it all boils down, you will of course have the final decision, but I like the current nickname. As you have your reasons, I have one as well (only one though, nothing big): Just like the American dollar bill, which has maintained the same basic style since its creation, something that never changes is thought of as stable, reliable, and indisputable.
Other than that, there is no prominent reason for my opinion. However, if you do choose a new nickname, here are my takes on the various options laid before me:
Granamyr seems to bring about an air of mystery and high status.
Singe signifies that you are on the cutting edge, and that justice under your reign is swift and fair.
Scorch is sort of like 'Singe'. Unlike 'Singe', however, 'Scorch' is more of a "power" name.
Laertes is like Granamyr, but instead of mystery, this name says that you are bold, daring, and willing to take chances.
Those are my thoughts. Does anyone else want to add to this?

My vote would be to keep Smaug, but if changing names is in your blood, give the Dragon name Maramasa a thought.

ROFLMAO!!!!
These are great responses thus far, and all of your input is appreciated.
A free copy of Hegemonia to the first person who can correctly post where all of my name's originate. I would like to know where the name comes from, and as many details as you can provide.
Only the most complete, and correct entry will win, and this is an exclusive for those of you that watch the forums regular like. Don't think I won't do more things like this in the future to keep you on your toes.
Those that pay attention.......Get something in return! Hazzah, blessed be, and enchanted evening to all of you

And the winner is.......
Hocistik!!! Here are his answers:
Granamyr - Wisest dragon of Darksmoke, from the He-Man Masters Of The Universe Cartoons
Singe - From the game Dragon's Lair
Smaug - The golden, greatest of the Fire-Dragons from The Hobbit
Scorch - The Ty Beanie Baby Dragon
Laertes - As far as I can tell, he was in Hamlet and not a dragon. He is also a character from "Daggersdale Wanderman"
This name change was merely a distraction and excuse to offer you guys a chance to win a game. I love making you work for them a little.
Hoci, very impressed on the last one sire. I didn't think anyone would get my Shakespeare reference. Good job guys! MSuomi and Triax gave you a run for the money

I strongly believe that we are a sum of the choices we make and the experiences we have. Good and bad go into making us the people we are. If you want to take a new name to mark a cusp in your life then it might be the right choice for you symbolically. Only you can make the right decision for you. But I will miss your old name if it passes and learn to cherish the new one over time.
Just realize that your handle may change, but you will be the same friend that I have come to known whether you are called Marty or 'Smaug or Tinkerbell. Well maybe not Tinkerbell. I would miss 'Smaug though.
