Hmm. Bard's Tale had me hooked more than any other I think though this was a few *cough cough* years ago. I can still close my eyes and navigate around Skara Brae (forward three, turn left, enter guild...) Nethack still has a place in my heart.

Now or ever? Consider it thus, "now" involves five running PC's doing various jobs, three more functional but not running, several piles of bits and a precariously balanced tower of Cisco 25xx routers. Going back more than a few years would fill out the entire post...
Real-life hobbies/interests:
These have changed with age and money Reading and learning new things is close to top of the list. If you're only counting things away from the computer then it used to be travel and languages (not that I was any good at them). Before married life brought a big tummy, it was also fencing, martial arts and tournament-level kickboxing - again, not that I was very good at any of them. Now my main interest is kissing, cuddling and playing with our beautiful baby daughter
Family:
One, slightly used but in good condition, would fetch reasonable price at auction . Amazing wife, amazing daughter, amazing though fluffy and occasionally smelly kitten.
What brought me here:
Good luck and raw dragon magnetism. Bought a magical little device called Gamevoice, hit the forums looking for info. Came across yonder dragon enticing people, siren-like into his den of inequity and decided to follow. I still have the boom-box somewhere, too...
Origin of my avatar or sig:
Well, either my avatar is based around a strong conceptual appreciation of nihilism and its role in modern society or I'm too lazy to make one. My sig is just something I found somewhere. If things ever worked like I wanted them to then it would doubtless change all the time but hey, it never does work out that way.
Favourite movie:
Hard call. Princess Bride is a definate contender and it is good to see that it was mentioned a few times already. Spaceballs and Blazing Saddles would also join the scrap for the top spot.

Hmm. Well, based on Hero's sig then at time of posting we've both spent less than one hour playing Diablo II this week. Significantly less than 1 hour, in my case. Pretty much "1 hour's worth" less than 1 hour.

What keeps me loggin in? Well, apart from the stuff we all know - great place, great people, great news etc - I'm still waiting to hear that someone's published a book.

9) Explain who your avatar is or where your sig came from = My avatar was a gift from a friend of mine in an e-mail and is exactly what I used to feel like behind the wheel of my big rig during rush hour in _________ (fill in the blank, NYC, Chicago, LA, Seattle, Atlanta, etc.) It's also what I feel like in most FPS's (just pull the trigger and spray the world!)
