Ok, here it is.. BFG is offering a free upgrade on some models of AGP cards to PCI-E.

So Basicly it works as if you send in a working 6800OZ agp they will send you a 9600GT for free.. 50$ more you get a 9800GT.. Prity sweet deal if you have old parts laying around..

Here is the link...

Heh, that's probably because they are making more money on the AGP chipsets that way. But still, not a bad thing. Recycling in a way.

I was going to do this but I don't think I can. I put an aftermarket heatsink/fan on my card a little while ago. Works great. But in talking with BFG tech support, I have to be able to put my old heatsink/fan back on. Which would mean removing the RAM heatsinks from the card. And those things are on there really strong. I would be worried about damaging the RAM chips in the process. Oh well. I don't even know if I have the old heatsink or not. Still a great deal and I applaud BFG for doing this for their customers.

I'm on my 4th generation of BFG cards, if any of my previous AGP ones were still around I'd do this!

And the warranty is real, I cooked a 6800 and an 8800 from heat, they replaced both no questions asked, I turned in an old corroded 5700 from a recycle PC, they replaced that too Smile
