Although I am sad that at this stage Ubisoft is only planning for console release, one of my favorite games is finally getting a sequel, Beyond Good and Evil 2.
Ubisoft revealed a teaser trailer for the game, and although it won't show you much, it's entertaining enough and gives those that did not play the first part (SHAME on you, you missed a gem) an idea of the wacky sense of humor in this game. Remember when LucasArts put out good games like Full Throttle and Grim Fandango? Beyond Good and Evil is in a similar vein, and I promise if you pick up the first part, you won;t regret it.

Even though they said it wasn't coming, Microsoft today announced an Xbox 360 price drop. May this have something to do with the delay of GTA 4?

From the "better late than never" archives of GCC, tonight we have a review treat in the form of Torino 2006 for Xbox. Reyak tackles our first console review for 2006!
The Media has been pummeling everyone with advertisements and reminders that the Winter Olympic Games started on February 10th. Therefore, in the spirit of the Olympics I went out and rented the latest incarnation of the Winter Olympics released by 2K Sports for the Xbox. I have always been a big fan of the Olympics and have watched them for years. I supported my country by simulating that I was a participant in the games as far back as 1978 when Atari released a version for the Atari 2600 called Pong Sports.

Here is a bit of odd gaming news that I thought was interesting, if not a tad late. A Chicago library is going to start checking out PS2 and Xbox games as a way to to get young adults into the library and browsing through other materials..
I'm not sure sure about you, but my local library in Indiana has been checking out PC games at least since Windows 95 was out. Although, they don't have console games. Read the full article here
to see how the idea was formed.
