All drivers must
abide by the following rules during all official league races:
- Official races can only be scheduled
by the highest ranking drivers. Currently the highest ranking driver
is Moose Hunter.
- No official LeadFoot race can take
place without the presence of at least one of the highest ranking
drivers, unless specific permission has been given prior to the race
by said official.
- You will respect all players in the
league, regardless of rank. Disrespectful players may be demoted or
removed from the league completely. The goal of this team is to have
fun, not too ridicule.
- Absolutely NO
cheating will be permitted! If you are caught cheating, you will be
abolished from the league immediately.
General Racing Guidelines
- (We'll start at the beginning) When
in the pace lap, try to stay up to pace speed and close to the car
in front of you. This helps with rule #2.
- Don't try to get a running start. I.E.
Don't think if you drop back and then floor it you can pass several
cars because they're still coming up to speed. This never works, and
always causes a pileup.
- Don't get to greedy for the first few
laps. Let everyone get settled before you start passing, at least
let the field go through turn one. Remember you can't win if you crash
on the first lap.
- Speaking of turns, don't try to pass
on the apron in a turn, 9 times out of 10 you will lose control of
the car and take out a whole bunch of people. Quite possibly you will
be labeled an idiot or a wrecker. (See rule 5)
- Don't be so quick to call someone a
wrecker, unless they are intentionally wrecking people chances are
they are just making "a bonehead move." In that case they
are an idiot.
- If you are trying to pass someone who
is warping, don't do it in a turn. You have a lot better chance of
getting a clean pass on a straight due to more room and better control.
(see 7 for warping)
- If you see one car warping, that is
them, if the whole field is warping in synch, then it's you. A good
idea is to keep the Latency/Quality/Synch,skew,stability,something
meter up. Then you can see if your connection's going south. Always
better to leave a race when you have a bad connection then take out
half the field and be labeled a wrecker. Not everyone will read these
rules so they won't know rule 5.
- If you are wrecked get off the track
ASAP. However don't do it when there's a group of cars coming, wait
till they pass. Use F2, your mirror, or in the worst case scenario,
your windshield to see when you're clear.
- If you are wrecked and limping to the
pits, stay on the apron, people are less likely to ram into you and
ruin your day even more.
- If you've been damaged and are just
slower than normal speed... STAY OUT OF THE GROOVE! (Big pet peeve
of mine) There's nothing worse than realizing the guy in front of
you is way too slow and in your lane, and then trying to dodge him.
Especially if he goes high to avoid you and you go high to let him
by. Then he'll forget rule #5 and probably the profanity rule lol.
- If you are a lapped car, DO NOT race
lead lap cars. Move out of their way and (at a drafting track) catch
on to the tail end of them. That way they're not slowed down trying
to get around you and you may actually be able to pick up more positions.
I had a guy hold me up for 10 laps at Tona today, he was blocking
every move I made. I finally got around him, but by then our pack
didn't have enough time to catch the leader.
